FLO Jaipur, under the leadership of chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, hosted an empowering event titled “Yoga for Empowerment – Yoga with Purpose” in collaboration with the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation (PDKF). On International Yoga Day 2025, the event was held in the serene heritage setting of Badal Mahal, Jaipur.
The event brought together women artisans for a meaningful celebration of inner strength, mindfulness, and collective wellness. This initiative was a heartfelt tribute to the idea that true strength begins with stillness, and lasting power begins with breath. It was a morning dedicated to nurturing the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of women who so often give selflessly to others.
The session was specially curated for the skilled women artisans of PDKF with the help of certified yoga instructor Ms. Seema Sharma— the very hands that craft India’s cultural heritage through their art and skill.
Through an hour of breathwork, gentle movement, and grounding postures, participants experienced a much-needed connection with their bodies and minds.
Key topics covered:
- Breathing techniques to restore calm and clarity.
- Gentle stretches to relieve physical tension from long hours of craftwork.
- Mindfulness to build inner strength and balance.
- The importance of self-care in daily life.
- Ms. Sharma’s approach was both practical and deeply rooted in healing, allowing the artisans to experience the power of intentional wellness.

This International Yoga Day was not just about postures — it was about purpose, presence, and empowerment. By investing in the health and happiness of women artisans, FLO Jaipur and PDKF reaffirmed their belief that empowered women build empowered communities.
From skilled hands to strong hearts — this Yoga Day was a tribute to the silent strength of women who shape our heritage, and now, are shaping their own wellness journeys.
