FLO Siliguri, under the dynamic leadership of chairperson Payal Periwal, recently hosted an inspiring and action-driven event featuring Captain Yashika Tyagi, a celebrated Kargil War veteran and transformational coach known for igniting strength and purpose in women across India.
Held at Saffron Crest, the event saw participation from 75+ FLO members, their children, and key sponsors. The gathering of about 125+ members began with a heartfelt felicitation of the FLO Amplifiers. Also, the audience displayed exceptional energy and commitment in the first 100 days of the Year of Synergy 2025–26.
Key Highlights Of Workshop:
- One of the key highlights of the day was the signing of an MOU between FLO Siliguri and IFM — a meaningful partnership to collaboratively promote sustainability and inclusivity through fashion, handlooms, and handicrafts.
- The workshop also focused on reviving Kantha embroidery and Bengal cane craft, empowering local artisans while bringing rural narratives into mainstream fashion spaces.
- FLO Siliguri launched Project Sahayata — a compassionate drive inviting members to donate pre-loved books, toys, and stationery to support underprivileged children in rural areas. The project aims to bridge the gap between aspiration and access, giving every child the tools to learn and dream.
Colonel Yashika Tyagi left the audience deeply moved with her stories of resilience, leadership, and purpose. The workshop benefited 125+ members as they were motivated to step forward as changemakers in every sphere of life.
