FLO Coimbatore visited its adopted village, Sengottaiyur in Anaikatti, Coimbatore, for an interaction with the tribal community, under the National Initiative- Empowering Tribal Livelihoods. The visit was part of FLO’s ongoing commitment to uplift rural lives through sustainable livelihood initiatives.
A new project was initiated during the visit as 5000 tomato saplings were donated to Thulasimani and her family. The goal of this project was to generate a return of Rs. 1 Lakh within 3 months. It aims to provide a steady source of income and promote agricultural entrepreneurship in the village.
The visit was led by Chairperson Ms. Aparna Sunku, along with Rural Livelihood Lead Dr. Kamini Surendran and FLO members Prachi Kikani, Pooja Rao, and Sharmila Gupta.
