FLO Jaipur, under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, in collaboration with AWWA, organized a specially curated 2-week soft skills training sessions to strengthen communication, confidence, and leadership abilities among wives of soldiers. Held at Sapta Shakti, Vaishali, the session enabled the attendees to gain a dynamic platform to learn effective self-expression, professional etiquette, and interpersonal skills. The sessions are a part of a program that also includes crochet workshops for attendees to gain creative skills for entrepreneurial opportunities.
The soft skill training workshop was particularly impactful as it addressed real-life challenges the women face. Some participants shared that while their children know English, they themselves could not assist with homework or conversations because they were not confident in English. For others, even those who could speak English, nervousness and a lack of confidence prevented them from expressing themselves fluently.
This workshop became not just a learning session but a confidence-building experience, helping them overcome hesitation and communicate more effectively. Several women expressed how valuable the sessions were. One participant said, “This workshop was such a meaningful opportunity. I learned so much, and it has truly inspired me. Now I feel confident to communicate better and support my children in their studies.”
Another highlighted how the training boosted her confidence and made her feel ready to take on personal and professional challenges with clarity. The Soft Skills Training was more than a learning session as it became a transformative experience of empowerment, confidence, and self-expression. Over 50 enthusiastic participants actively joined the sessions.
The wives of soldiers left with improved communication skills, leadership abilities, and a renewed sense of self-assurance. Also, this initiative reflects FICCI FLO’s unwavering commitment to equipping women with the tools to express themselves effectively, support their families, and embrace opportunities for personal and professional growth.
