FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, organised an MSME event, “She Leads To A Better Tomorrow,” successfully at the Boat Club. The session offered valuable insights and practical knowledge to participants. Every attendee appreciated the event for its depth, clarity, and applicability to women-led businesses. This workshop was held to educate women entrepreneurs regarding getting loans and funding. The event explained government schemes, including PMEGP, MUDRA, and WEP.
Mr. Sriram Sivarajan, an expert on Central Schemes, explained in detail the various central schemes available from the Central Government to support women entrepreneurs. He clearly outlined the objectives, processes, and benefits of these schemes, ensuring participants could easily understand how to apply them to their business needs. His clarifications to members’ queries were precise and highly beneficial, making the session practical and impactful.
Ms. Vidya, Regional Joint Director of MSME, highlighted the wide-ranging inputs and support that MSME provides. She offered detailed guidance on the application processes for government schemes, along with comprehensive information on different factors influencing MSME operations. Her talk was practical, informative, and truly educational, leaving participants with actionable knowledge to take forward.
The session concluded with an inspiring address by Ms. Anupama Shivaraman, Director of Shriram Leadership Academy, who shared effective techniques and strategies for business development and sustainable growth. She emphasized the importance of monitoring systems (MIS), compliance with business rules, and making smart financial decisions. Her insights on leadership and disciplined business practices gave participants a fresh perspective on managing and scaling their enterprises.
The event concluded on a warm note with high tea, providing members with an opportunity for networking and informal discussions. Around 65 members benefited from this informative session for women entrepreneurs and professionals. Overall, the program was a huge success, delivering immense knowledge and practical takeaways for FICCI FLO members, and reinforcing the organization’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs through meaningful learning opportunities.
