FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, hosted the event “Wedding Futures” at Welcome Hotel, Cathedral Road, to create a meaningful platform to promote inclusion and empower communities. One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Project Bloom.
This project was presented to FLO members, highlighting its mission to revive the traditional art of crafting exquisite floral adornments such as jada, veni, gajras, and garlands, tapping into the booming wedding industry. It is a FLO member support initiative. With the guidance of one of our members, Project Bloom has created a logo through which they have been receiving more orders and visibility.
Their stall attracted significant attention and appreciation from the 150 attendees at the event. It not only generated good sales but also served as a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion and the incredible outcomes that can emerge when people are allowed to express their skills and creativity.
FLO Chennai was proud to support the BLOOM LADIES mission and looks forward to continued collaborations that promote dignity, empowerment, and awareness. In fact, members made an Instagram story which has gone viral, not just branding FLO, but with this project, there is an inquiry for many self-help groups requesting training.
