FICCI FLO, under the leadership of the 42nd President, Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized the 10th virtual session of the Gift Packaging Skilling Workshop Series titled “Pearls Of Prosperity: Create, Decorate, And Monetise” under its FLO Skilling in the Wedding Industry initiative to support women across India in earning a livelihood.
This initiative equips a woman with the skills required in the wedding and allied industries to make money. The 10th session focused on training attendees in creating pearl-based jewellery and decor items for gifting and packaging purposes. Ms. Shalini Beriwal, National Initiative Head — W.I.N.G.S (Women Innovating NextGen Weddings), was the curator of the session and ensured the best experience for the attendees.
She demonstrated how to create beautiful floral products using ribbons, pearls, wires, and other eco-friendly materials for selling at festivals, such as weddings, and festivals. The initiative aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for women artisans across India by providing them with market access and continuous support.

Impact
This interesting session was attended by more than 70+ attendees virtually. Also, it benefited the participants as they learned income-generating skills. They received training in creating handmade pearl jewellery to sell it for a good profit. Pearls of Prosperity: Create, Decorate, and Monetise session is a part of FICCI FLO’s efforts towards generating employment and fostering self-reliance for women at different levels.
FLO W.I.N.G.S initiative supports women to establish home-based businesses, micro-enterprises, and create platforms for selling their products and services at exhibitions, fairs, and wedding industry networks.
