FLO Kanpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kanpur Ploggers to collaboratively carry forward 2 rural initiatives: “Project Nandini” and the “Village Electrification Initiative”. The MoU was formalized by Chairperson Ms. Kriti Shroff and Dr Sanjivini Sharma, Founder Director, Kanpur Ploggers.
Project Nandini:
This initiative supports an existing Self-Help Group (SHG) of women producing eco-friendly, cow dung-based products such as uple, hawan cups, dhoop, and diyas. The MoU outlines plans to upgrade production quality, conduct training programs, and expand the SHG’s market reach to create sustainable livelihoods for women in rural areas.
Electrification of the Village:
This upcoming project aims to provide access to electricity for over 50 rural households through the installation of electricity meters, solar home systems, and solar-powered street lights. The initiative is designed to improve energy access, enhance safety, and raise the overall standard of living in the community.
This MoU is a strategic collaboration between FLO and Kanpur Ploggers to drive grassroots development, promote women’s economic empowerment, and create a replicable model for sustainable rural transformation.
