FICCI FLO, under the leadership of National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized a virtual session titled “MIRAAS: Crafting Heritage, Creating A Legacy,” in collaboration with CreativeDignity, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering artisans in India.
Organized under the FLO Handloom, Textile & Handicrafts initiative, the MIRAAS session focused on showcasing a collection of artisanal brands from the Creative Dignity community during the festive time.
The catalog featured handmade products that are suitable for festive gifting. It included products like textiles and home decor, made by artisans and craft enterprises from different regions of India.
This session focused on preserving India’s rich craft heritage and empowering artisans by connecting them with a wide audience. MIRAAS session was made possible due to the day chair, Ms. Swati Verma, Initiative Lead, Handloom & Textiles Initiative, and Ms. Sunita Kanoria, Initiative Lead, Handicrafts Initiative.
Around 62 people participated in this online session. The MIRAAS session was dedicated to equipping artisans with market access and promoting sustainable business practices. This session is also a part of FICCI FLO’s efforts towards creating a thriving ecosystem for women artisans and positioning ‘Made in India’ crafts as premium.
