FICCI FLO, under the leadership of National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized an informative virtual session, “Invitation to Incubators Unplugged – How India’s Startup Hubs Power Women Founders.” This panel discussion highlighted how incubators enable women to start and scale their ventures.
This session featured speakers, Mr. Ismail Akbani, CEO at AIC Mahindra, and Dr. Divya Rathod, CEO- WISE- SNDT, who talked about the roles and importance of incubators for building successful women-led startups. Incubators are responsible for providing mentorship, funding access, and essential resources to make startups successful.
They connect new businesses with angel investors and venture capitalists to foster faster growth. Due to the support of incubators, many business owners easily mitigate the high risks associated with starting a new company. Around 78 women attended this virtual session and learned how to overcome gender specific barriers while managing a startup.
This session is a part of FLO’s Startup Cell initiative, which is led by Initiative head, Ms. Priya Goutham, Co-Chair, Archana Burman, and team members, Nupur Handa, Shuchita Gupta, Simran Sahni, Pooja Arambhan, Anupama Modi, Charu Gupta, Jyothi Thomas, and Archana Doshi.
