FLO Coimbatore, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Aparna Sunku, organized an informative and powerful session, “In Pink of Health- All About Breast Cancer,” under its FLO National Health initiative – KAVACH. It was an empowering Pinktober afternoon celebrating awareness, wellness, and womanhood.
This insightful awareness session marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The session was led by Dr. Raja Shanmuga Krishnan, Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and Plastic Surgeon at Ganga Hospital, who made the subject remarkably simple and engaging — using real images, clear explanations, and practical tips instead of medical jargon.
His talk was informative, eye-opening, and deeply empowering for every woman present. Chairperson Aparna Sunku welcomed the gathering with a heartfelt message on the importance of awareness and early detection. A special note of appreciation was extended to member Radha Meenakshi, spouse of Dr. Raja, for coordinating this meaningful and impactful session.
In a wonderful gesture of support, Ganga Hospital offered free mammogram coupons to all FLO Coimbatore members, encouraging every woman to take charge of her health. The session, attended by 35 members, concluded with warm conversations over high tea — a perfect Pinktober blend of learning, care, and camaraderie.
