FICCI FLO, under the leadership of the National President, Ms. Poonam Sharma, in collaboration with Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), organized its 12th session of the Gift Packaging Skilling Workshop Series, titled “How To Sell To The Wedding & Event Planner.”
This virtual session was hosted under the W.I.N.G.S (Women Innovating NextGen Weddings) initiative led by Ms. Shalini Beriwal. Ms. Beriwal joined the session as a keynote speaker alongside other pioneers, Ms. Prerana Agarwal Saxena, Chair at EEMA Wedding Council, Ms. Aarti Mattoo, MD at Momentum Experiences LLP, and Ms. Nidhi Poddar, founder at Emerald Events.
These experts taught women entrepreneurs, who deal in different wedding business segments, such as gifting, packaging, handmade décor, and home-based ventures, about how to approach wedding and event planners for collaboration with professionalism. Attendees received valuable guidance regarding what planners look for in collaborators and vendors.
Planners always look for reliable and professional vendors who can meet their expectations and needs. Also, it is important for a vendor to create products that align with current wedding and event trends. To become a trusted partner of a wedding and event planner, presenting your business in a professional and clear manner from the beginning is crucial.
Participants learned how to build long-term visibility and recurring business opportunities through this virtual session. This skill-to-scale session provided an opportunity for 125 attendees to learn and scale with India’s most vibrant and creative industries.
How To Sell To The Wedding & Event Planner event is a part of FICCI FLO’s strategy to empower women through specialized skilling in the wedding and allied industries. The organization also supports women to set up a wedding business or micro enterprise to monetize their skills.
