FLO Jaipur, led by Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, launched FLO UDYAM as a landmark sustainability-driven expedition, uniting learning, leadership, and environmental responsibility. 65 women leaders were offered the opportunity to explore the interface of industrial innovation and ecological stewardship. The women were divided into 3 immersive batches of 22 women over 3 days.
The attendees visited Rampura Agucha Mines, Hindustan Zinc Ltd., Bhilwara, which practiced slurry management systems, tree plantations, and eco-conscious mining; and Sangam Farms, Bhilwara, which practices rainwater harvesting ponds, organic farming, hydroponics, and cow dung recycling at the Gaushala. Women descended 850 meters underground and the sustainable mines produce 15,000 tonnes of ore daily using eco-conscious systems.
The activities included – hydroponic farming demonstrations, dairy and polyhouse walkthroughs highlighting local, sustainable food systems, and joyful tractor rides and fish feeding in natural ponds. FLO UDYAM was a landmark sustainability initiative that redefined what women-led journeys can achieve.
