FLO Mumbai Celebrated 79th Independence Day With St Stephen’s School for the Deaf and Aphasic

FLO Mumbai, under the vision of Chairperson Pooja Arambhan Tiwari, chose to celebrate this 79th Independence Day differently with St Stephen’s School for the Deaf and Aphasic. Members took up an initiative that goes beyond commemoration, one that strives to give a voice to those who are often unheard, and to advocate for progress and inclusivity in the state.

Through heartfelt letters written by 10 students from St. Stephen’s School for the Deaf and Aphasic, FLO Mumbai conveyed to the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Ajit Pawar, their hopes, ideas, and dreams for a more inclusive and progressive state.

Along with their words, they shared their appreciation for his tireless work towards Maharashtra’s growth, and FLO’s commitment as a collective to support policies that drive equality, accessibility, and opportunity for all. This initiative is more than a gesture as it is a symbol of what inclusivity in action looks like and a step towards a legacy that will last beyond time.
