FLO Jaipur, led by Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, hosted a Financial Literacy Workshop in collaboration with SK Foundation. The initiative was designed to equip grassroots women artisans with essential financial knowledge, digital banking awareness, and access to government financial inclusion schemes.
The initiative aimed to educate women about managing personal finances, accessing formal banking systems, utilizing digital tools and leveraging government schemes for long-term financial security. Around 30 grassroots women artisans benefited through this initiative.
Key highlights of this initiative were – the opening note of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat; expert banking guidance by HDFC bank officials, specialists from HDFC Bank conducted the session – Ms. Niyati Nawal – Branch Manager, Mr. Sajjan Singh – Relationship Business Head, and Mr. Sharad Sharma – Regional Head – Digital.

Ms. Niyati Nawal highlighted key features of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) – Zero balance bank accounts, ₹2 lakh accidental insurance cover, Life insurance, health insurance & pension access, and Overdraft facility and microfinance opportunities. Ms. Setia encouraged the women to save their income diligently and invest in secure schemes that offer long-term benefits.
Through this initiative, women learned to handle finances independently, built awareness of digital banking safety and government support, boosted confidence in managing income and making financial decisions, strengthened the bridge between women artisans and formal financial institutions, and reinforced FLO Jaipur’s role as a changemaker in grassroots empowerment
