E-Waste Collection Drive

FLO Vadodara, led by Chairperson Shivani P. Patel, conducted an E-waste Collection Drive under the National Initiative – Sustainability and Inclusivity across all Initiatives. The initiative witnessed participation from members and the community, resulting in the collection of 955.3 kg of E-waste. The aim of this initiative was to promote responsible e-waste disposal, encourage community participation, and ensure safe recycling through certified agencies.

The E-waste ranged from mobile phones, laptops, chargers, cables, ovens, computer desktops, CPUs, SMPS units, LEDs, and batteries. The collected e-waste has been responsibly handed over to ECS Environment Pvt. Ltd., an authorized and certified agency, for recycling, upcycling, or safe destruction, depending on the eligibility and condition of each item. ECS ensures that every piece of e-waste is processed in an environmentally sound manner, reducing landfill burden and preventing toxic harm to the ecosystem.

By preventing this waste from entering landfills, the drive made a contribution to environmental sustainability and marks a step in FLO’s sustainability goals and promotes a greener future for the city.
