FLO Jaipur, under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat and in the gracious presence of Secretary Anushree Dasoot and Coordinator Swati Chhabra, visited its adopted village — Kansera, for yet another impactful initiative focused on education, empowerment, and community upliftment: “Cycle Distribution & School Support Drive.”
As a part of the initiative, “Empowering Education, Enabling Change,” the day began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by vibrant cultural performances by the village children — setting the tone for a celebration of unity, progress, and promise.
Recognising that mobility and education go hand in hand, FLO Jaipur distributed 20+ bicycles to deserving girl students who walk several kilometres each day to attend school. The sparkle in their eyes and their joyous smiles reflected the spirit of newfound freedom, independence, and hope — a simple gesture that will create a lasting impact on their educational journey.
To further strengthen the school’s infrastructure and support learning, FLO Jaipur contributed:
- A speaker for daily assemblies and gatherings.
- Computers and a printer to promote digital learning.
- A sanitary napkin vending machine to encourage menstrual hygiene and awareness.
- Stationery essentials to support daily academics.
Over 200 girl students were also felicitated with colourful stoles, symbolising pride, empowerment, and recognition. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, gratitude, and a shared sense of purpose.
Sustained Commitment Towards Holistic Village Development
This initiative builds upon FLO Jaipur’s ongoing efforts in Kansera Village, which have already touched multiple facets of community growth and women’s empowerment. Previous initiatives include:
- Installation of a Solar Panel at the Vocational Training Centre for women empowerment and sustainable energy use.
- Tree Plantation Drive for a greener and healthier tomorrow.
- Distribution of School Bags, Tiffins, and Dental Kits to promote health and hygiene among students.
- Cancer Awareness & Survival Program to educate and support women on health issues.
- Regular skill training workshops for rural women, enabling self-sufficiency and livelihood creation.
- Each of these steps represents FLO Jaipur’s consistent dedication to creating a model village that thrives on education, equality, and empowerment.
