Care Beyond Cure – A Women’s Health and Wellness Initiative

FLO Ludhiana, under the visionary leadership of Chairperson Ms. Shweta Jindal (2025-26), proudly presented “Care Beyond Cure”, an impactful initiative dedicated to promoting women’s health and wellness. This initiative was organised under the FLO Kavach, a National Initiative and Balance and bloom, a Chapter Initiative, which focuses on the safety, security, and well-being of women across all sectors.

The event, held at the prestigious Trident, Ludhiana, a globally recognised leader in home textiles, paper, and yarn – brought together healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and passionate women from various walks of life to discuss the importance of holistic well-being. The highlight of the program was an insightful session by Dr. Ashima Taneja, Head Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Dr. Taneja shared valuable insights on women’s health, emphasising the need for proactive care, regular check-ups, and overall wellness. Her expertise provided attendees with practical knowledge and guidance, empowering them to prioritise their physical and mental well-being.

As part of the initiative’s broader mission to promote health and hygiene, FICCI FLO also organised the distribution of sanitary napkins and sanitisers to women employees.

This effort aimed to address the often-overlooked aspect of menstrual hygiene, ensuring that women in the workforce have access to essential personal care products. By providing these hygiene essentials, FICCI FLO reinforced the message that every woman deserves to work in a safe, healthy, and dignified environment.

This event was part of an ongoing drive for the month of May, with two additional locations identified where the maximum benefit can be extended to women employees, further amplifying the impact of this initiative. The event also served as a reminder of the ongoing commitment of FICCI FLO to empower women, not just through business opportunities and professional development but also by ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
