FLO Uttarakhand, under the visionary leadership of Chairperson, Dr. Geeta Khanna, in collaboration with Moksh Creations Pvt Ltd, and with support from Trikon Society, proudly completed the third batch of its flagship initiative Badhte Kadam 3.0 – a capacity building and urban skilling program aimed at empowering underprivileged women.
Conducted at Shankarpur, Sahaspur Block, Dehradun, the session was chaired by Dr. Maansi Rastogi, Urban Skilling Initiative Head. This initiative focused on equipping women at different levels with employable skills and necessary resources. Urban skilling programs like Badhte Kadam help women to get good earning opportunities and generate good income to take care of their families.
This batch focused on women aged 18 to 55 years from low-income backgrounds and included a 3-hour training module centered around soft skills and entrepreneurship. The program also educated participants about SHG registration formalities, thus equipping them with the knowledge needed to become financially independent and socially empowered.
A key highlight of this session was the announcement of our first on-ground batch of training with a professional trainer, scheduled to begin this week. The event was executed with the valuable support of Trikon Society and National Governing Body Member & Past Chairperson Dr. Neha Sharma for her unwavering dedication in helping us identify the training location and mobilize women from the community.
In addition to the training, sanitary pads and refreshments were distributed to all participants, reinforcing our commitment to health, dignity, and holistic development. This workshop benefited 50 women from 5 registered Self Help Groups (SHGs), bringing the total number of beneficiaries trained under the initiative to 232.
