FLO Chennai hosted an inspiring evening, “Wedding Futures – What It Holds,” featuring Mr. Murugavel Janakiraman, founder & CEO of Bharat Matrimony, in conversation with Ms. Reema Thakore, Founder of Spice Events. The engaging session was moderated by Ms. Priya Goutham, whose lively and thoughtful questions kept the audience connected throughout.
Mr. Murugavel’s story—truly a journey from rags to riches—deeply resonated with everyone present. He candidly shared how, at one point, he didn’t know how to speak English, and today he leads a ₹400-crore company that has transformed the way India approaches matchmaking. Speaking straight from the heart, his words captivated the audience, leaving them inspired and delighted.
Reema Thakore, trained and educated in event management, shared how she leaped to start her own company, Spice Events, highlighting the courage and creativity needed to thrive as a new-age entrepreneur. Chairperson Niyati Mehta welcomed Mr. Murugavel to FLO and shared a few words about the organisation’s vision and impact.
Moved by the experience, Mr. Murugavel expressed his delight at being associated with FLO, appreciated the Bloom Initiative, and expressed his willingness to collaborate with the organisation on future projects.
