FICCI FLO, led by National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, hosted an interaction with a delegation from Uzbekistan on June 5, 2025. The 11-member delegation, led by the Deputy Chairman from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Ms. Shotursunova Nodira Nasirovna, engaged with the FICCI FLO and its members to explore future collaborations in trade and women-led entrepreneurship.
The session was anchored by Ms. Ankurita Pathak, Additional Director at FICCI FLO. Language support was provided by Ms. Malyanova Yulduz Turgunova, and Diplomat Mr. Khurshidbek Samiev translated Ms. Nodira’s address. The interaction emphasized shared values, accomplishments, and mutual goals in empowering women entrepreneurs across both nations.
A significant highlight of the first day was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FICCI FLO and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, marking a new chapter in partnership. On June 6, 2025, FICCI FLO organized a factory visit for 10 delegates to the Good Earth Warehouse. Good Earth is known for its luxury lifestyle products, including crockery, home décor, textiles, wellness products, and candles.
The delegates observed the manufacturing process of crockery production in bulk, gaining insight into various stages of design, production, and distribution. Ms. Nodira and one of Good Earth’s designers, Ms. Shalini Sethy, focused on cross-border design inspirations and the potential for student exchange programs.
