International Yoga Day Celebration By FLO Uttarakhand

FLO Uttarakhand, under the inspiring leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, hosted a serene and empowering celebration for International Yoga Day at Fitness for U Gym & Shrim Yoga n Wellness Centre, Defence Colony, Dehradun. With the theme ‘Health in a Balanced Life’, the event aimed to spread awareness around the significance of yoga and wellness as essential tools for holistic living.

The refreshing session was organized under the Health & Wellness initiative, guided by initiative lead Gurkiran Pathak and team members Dr Giggle Rastogi and Smriti Batta. The morning event began with a 40-minute rejuvenating yoga session led by Day Chair and Yoga Expert Ritu Giri. The session, designed for participants across all age groups, integrated breathwork, foundational asanas, and gentle relaxation techniques.

This immersive experience helped attendees connect deeply with their inner selves, fostering a sense of calm, flexibility, and mindfulness. Following the yoga session, an insightful talk on health and wellness was delivered by International Wellness Coach Shruti Singh. Her engaging session addressed the pillars of holistic health—balanced nutrition, lifestyle choices, and mental well-being.

Her guidance encouraged the audience to embrace sustainable health practices, particularly highlighting the importance of mindful living in the modern world. As an added value, complimentary health check-ups were provided for all attendees, including BMI analysis, body composition measurements, and personalized wellness counselling. This initiative enabled participants to better understand their health profiles and take informed steps toward self-care.

The event witnessed the active participation of 15–20 individuals who wholeheartedly engaged in the activities and embraced the spirit of well-being. It also sparked meaningful conversations around preventive health, stress management, and the integration of yoga and nutrition into daily life, especially for women and children.
