The event featured Ms. Palak Shah, founder and CEO of Ekaya Banaras, Kanpur, as the guest speaker. Organised under the Textile and Startup vertical, the event highlighted the powerful intersection of heritage textiles, modern entrepreneurship, and women-led innovation.
The engaging session focused on highlighting the legacy and evolution of the Banarasi Saree to honor its roots. Organised in celebration of National Handloom Day, the session brought together members to hear Ms. Palak Shah’s remarkable journey of transforming her family’s traditional Banarasi weaving legacy into a global luxury brand.
She spoke about her deep commitment to reviving Indian handloom, preserving heritage while embracing contemporary aesthetics, and creating a brand that bridges the past and future of Indian fashion.
