FLO National, under the dynamic leadership of National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, in collaboration with Pratap University and Notch Above, organised the “FLO Job Fair 2025” at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College in Delhi, under their flagship initiative Linkages between Academia Industry and Government. This is the second in a series of job fairs by FICCI FLO, which focuses on providing good employment opportunities and career guidance to young college students.
After the resounding success in Hyderabad, the Delhi edition of the job fair event helped young talent secure entry-level jobs from reputable companies, including PayTM, Policy Bazaar, HDFC Bank, Cipla, Baidyanath Group, Dainik Jagran, The Muthoot Group, Bikanerwala, Naukri Campus, and The Park Hotels. A special thanks to bronze sponsor, SWAT, and technology partner Skillstride Academy for their unwavering support in making the recruitment process smoother for the students and helping recruiters get skilled candidates in a single day.
The inaugural ceremony began with the opening remarks by Ms. Priya Gazdar, a core team member of the Linkages between Academia, Industry and Government initiative. She introduced National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, and CA Shubhraa Maheshwari, Past Chairperson, FLO Hyderabad, and National Lead, Linkages between Academia, Industry and Govt. Initiative to the attendees. Then, both leaders talked about how industry-academia collaboration benefited young students and women in achieving good job opportunities and upgrading their skills. They added that more job fair events will be held by other FLO chapters this year.
During her impactful keynote address. Ms. Poonam Sharma welcomed dignitaries and highlighted the role of FLO in bridging skill gaps. She greeted the chief guest, Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Law & Justice, Labour, Employment, Development, Art & Culture, and Language Tourism, Government of India and appreciated him for his contribution towards employment generation and national development. Also, she talked about the contribution of 21 chapters of FICCI FLO in empowering youth and women through various initiatives focusing on skilling, education, and entrepreneurship.
Guest of honour, Ms. Neeta Boochra, FLO Past President, graced the event with her presence and delivered a powerful speech on FLO’s consistent journey of empowering women across India. Ms. Boochra has always been the strongest pillar of support for FICCI FLO. Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra inaugurated the job fair event and praised FLO’s role in creating tangible pathways for youth and women to enter the workforce.
Mr. Kapil Mishra delivered a powerful speech during his keynote address at SGBT Khalsa College by highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting job creation in Delhi: “We want the youth to work in their own city and get employment here. We promise to provide good job opportunities to youth by giving them new skills and better education.”
After that, the most-awaited white paper, ‘The Employment Landscape in India: Past Decade Analysis and Future Outlook (2015–2035)” authored by CA Shubhraa Maheshwari, was released. The paper provided an in-depth analysis of employment trends over the last decade and mapped future opportunities for India’s youth.
The FLO job fair event in Delhi witnessed an overwhelming response as more than 1600 candidates registered, who engaged with a total of 35 employers. This initiative is a testament to FLO’s vision of creating a self-reliant, skilled, and empowered youth workforce—a step forward in shaping the future of India’s employment landscape.
