FLO Coimbatore, under the leadership of Chairperson Aparna Sunku, organised “Breastfeeding & Beyond” awareness program under their National Initiative, KAVACH- Health, held today at Rao Hospital. As a part of the KAVACH Initiative, the program focused on promoting the well-being and self-sufficiency of women by equipping them with the required knowledge related to breastfeeding. This impactful session brought together new moms and moms-to-be for a morning of expert talks, interactive learning, and valuable takeaways.
Project Chair Deepika Rao played a crucial role in organising this informational session for the attendees. Organised in collaboration with Rao Hospital, this program featured speakers, Dr. K.S. Krishnasamy and Mrs. Baby Shree, talking about the importance of breastfeeding in both maternal and child health.
Both speakers delivered informational speeches regarding breastfeeding’s common myths, best practices, nutritional tips to enhance breast milk production, and correct feeding positions. At the end, special FLO-sponsored hampers were gifted to participating mothers-to-be and new moms — a small gesture to celebrate their beautiful journey. This awareness program is a part of FICCI FLO’s efforts towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
