FLO Kanpur, led by Chairperson Kriti Shroff, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JD Institute of Fashion Technology to support the goals related to the textile vertical. This collaboration marks the beginning of a promising journey of learning and engagement for women under the Textile Vertical. Also, this partnership aims at creating new opportunities for knowledge-sharing and skill development in the field of fashion and textiles.
This partnership has been made possible with the support of Mani for facilitating the collaboration and Past Chair Nalini Sanwal for leading the Textile Vertical with dedication and vision. Also, it focused on empowering women designers, artisans, manufacturers, retailers, and entrepreneurs.
This MoU signing is a part of FICCI FLO’s initiative to enhance incomes for designers and artisans by enabling market access for their crafts. FLO Kanpur & JD Institute partnership will organise fashion shows, exhibitions, training and skill development programs to support women in the textile sector. Also, it focuses on positioning Made In India crafts as premium, helping women artisans and entrepreneurs thrive in modern markets.
