FLO Chennai x Stella Maris College – Growth Mindset Workshop

FICCI Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Niyati Mehta, organised a workshop focused on growth mindset, emotional intelligence and resilience in collaboration with Stella Maris College. As part of an ongoing urban skilling initiative, the workshop aimed to prepare final-year students from the Department of Commerce (Shift-I) with the mental, emotional, and professional tools needed to thrive in today’s dynamic world.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Victoria, head of department at Stella Maris, who highlighted the importance of such interventions in shaping confident and career-ready graduates. Ms. Niyati Mehta then addressed the gathering and introduced FLO as India’s largest women’s collective and shared how such skilling initiatives are central to FLO’s mission of empowering future changemakers.

Ms. Vanitha Venugopal, head of the skilling vertical, spoke about the vision for a long-term collaboration with Stella Maris through a series of future-focused workshops. After that, the guest speaker, leadership and mindset coach Ms. Meera Grover, covered essential themes such as developing a growth mindset, building emotional intelligence, and cultivating resilience.

With practical tools and interactive exercises, the session helped students not only learn new concepts but also shift their internal narratives. This urban skilling event benefited 222 enthusiastic young women from the Department of Commerce (Shift-I) at Stella Maris College and focused on creating future leaders.
