FICCI FLO Lucknow, led by Ms. Vandita Agarwal, in collaboration with member Ms. Pooja Sanwal, proudly inaugurated Trashury — a unique and thoughtful initiative aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and sustainable living.
Through this initiative, FLO Lucknow members started donating plastic products. Then, the plastic is creatively recycled by Ms. Sanwal into eco-friendly laptop bags, school bags, and thoughtful gifting items. Also, the core idea behind Trashury goes beyond the act of donation. It is a step towards fostering greater awareness about the impact of plastic on our environment.
Skilling initiatives like Trashury inspire people to embrace sustainability in their everyday lives. It empowers women by turning plastic waste into eco-friendly products. Currently, the Trashury has training centres which upskill 8 to 10 women at a time. In this way, FLO Lucknow is equipping participants with employable skills and fostering self-reliance.
