Handicrafts by Karpagam Kaivinaigal from Cholamandalam

FLO Chennai, led by Chairperson Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, organized an event with Ms. Rujuta Diwekar at Taj Coromandel, Nungambakkam. The event, attended by 390 people, aimed to create a platform to promote inclusion and empower communities. One of the highlights of the event was the presence of a Handicraft support stall.

The stall by Karpagam Kaivinaigal from Cholamandalam showcased a range of handmade jewellery involving techniques such as beading, wire wrapping, and casting. The handicraft stall owner, Karpagam Kaivinaigal has created an Instagram page through which they have been receiving more orders and visibility. Their stall attracted significant attention and appreciation from the 300 attendees at the event.

The initiative has generated good sales and served as a reminder of the importance of inclusion and the incredible outcomes that can emerge when people are given the opportunity to express their skills and creativity.
