3rd Session of Compliance To Confidence: Demystifying Compliance, Taxation & Labour Laws

FICCI FLO, under the leadership of National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized the 3rd session of the Compliance to Confidence series, focusing on equipping business owners and directors with essential knowledge related to compliance, taxation, and labour laws.

The session was led by CA Pramod Jain, a corporate global trainer and inspirational speaker who is currently serving as an independent director on the board of an NSE/BSE-listed company. Also, Mr. Jain already served as Finance Head & Company Secretary at Piaggio Vehicles and other companies.

This 3rd session helped women entrepreneurs understand business compliance and labour regulations in order to grow enterprises with responsibility and foresight. The previous two sessions of Compliance to Confidence helped women entrepreneurs and directors to gain knowledge about business structures, types of ownership, and basic financial learning related to working capital management and business plan creation.

The latest and third session highlighted different statutes for businesses in India for corporate structure and labour laws, such as the Companies Act 2013, FEMA 1999, UDYAM Registration (MSME), Professional Tax (PT), The Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, etc.

Also, speaker Pramod Jain talked about the legal requirements, regulatory registrations, taxation requirements, licenses & industry-specific approvals, procedural & governance approvals, government schemes & benefits for MSMEs, and more.

The session was held under the FLO Women Corporate Directors Initiative, which focuses on increasing women’s representation in boardrooms and senior leadership through targeted mentorship and training.

This virtual session was made possible due to the efforts of Ms. Usharani Manne, Initiative Lead – FLO Women Directors initiative, along with the support of Ms. Shobha Jolly, Co-Chair, and other team members, Ms. Sujitha Reddy, and Ms. Neha Reddy.
