FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, organized a drive titled “Recycle with a Cause Diwali” in order to contribute over 400 clothing items and accessories. The collection included sarees, dresses, salwars, tops, pants, belts, bags, suitcases, and other accessories, all in excellent condition, and many new clothes thoughtfully donated to support young girls and their caretakers.
The Sustainability Team, led by Meera and Shamantha, coordinated the collection and ensured that the donations reached Seva Sadan. The items were handed over by Shamantha and Niyathi to Seva Sadan, which, along with Prem Vihar, cares for around 160 children and their caretakers, providing them with education, safety, and a nurturing environment.
This initiative beautifully reflects the FICCI FLO commitment to sustainability, compassion, and community impact — turning festive cleaning into a meaningful act of giving. Also, the organization has empowered young girls by providing them necessary items and accessories.
