FLO Ahmedabad, under the leadership of Chairperson Madhu Banthia, conducted a Furoshiki gift wrapping art workshop under their national initiative. Event head Rachna Mehta organised the workshop at Yuva Foundation for teachers and young girls. The teachers, empowered with this learning, carried it forward to a school in Shahibaug, where the art was introduced to students.
Furoshiki is a Japanese tradition of wrapping objects in a stylish cloth made from materials like silk, cotton, and nylon. This technique is used for wrapping gifts with an attractive Japanese cloth in an attempt to stop paper wastage.
