FICCI FLO, led by the 42nd.National President Ms. Poonam Sharma signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Railway Women’s Welfare Central Organisation (RWWCO) represented by Ms. Ruby Rani Singh, President of RWWCO.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Rashmi Sarita, Executive Director of FLO; Ms. Amrita Sharma, Secretary of RWWCO; Ms. Nirdesh Singh, Treasurer of RWWCO; Ms. Anjali Verma, Jt. Secretary of RWWCO; and Executive Members – Ms. Anjali Gulati, Ms. Shikha Agrawal, Ms. Namita Malhotra, Ms. Shushma Rajgopal, and Ms. Kusum Verma.
The collaboration, under the National Initiative – Sustainability & Environmental Priorities, aims to promote afforestation and green initiatives by planting approximately 3,000 to 6,000 saplings (or more) across railway-owned or affiliated sites, facilitated through FLO Chapters across 20+ cities.
FICCI FLO will coordinate the procurement and gifting of saplings via its local chapters and organize ceremonial plantation drives. RWWCO will liaise with relevant railway authorities to identify sites, oversee plantation activities, and ensure proper aftercare.
