FLO Ahmedabad, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Madhu Banthia, organized a diya-making workshop for children undergoing cancer treatment at Access Life Centre. The event was headed by Ms. Rachna Mehta, who created the best experience for the children and their parents. This workshop is a part of Project Wings, Urban Skilling & Health, and Wellness initiatives.
Access Life is a 10-year-old non-profit organisation that supports children suffering from cancer by offering them free boarding and lodging to children and their families who come from out of town for treatment. With 14 centres across India, AccessLife offers comfort, care, and hope during a very challenging journey.
The collaboration between FLO Ahmedabad and AccessLife is a testament to the organization’s efforts toward uplifting children by supporting their parents and equipping them with the necessary skills and resources for their living. Also, this program brought joy and creative engagement to children undergoing cancer treatment and offered their parents a moment of relief and happiness through an interactive diya-making session.
This session reaffirmed the power of compassion and creativity. A simple diya-making activity turned into a source of hope, joy, and light for families battling cancer, perfectly embodying the spirit of Project Wings.
