FICCI FLO, under the leadership of National President Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized the 8th virtual session of the Gift Packaging Skilling Workshop Series, “Sacred Celebrations – Crafting Prosperity,” under the National Initiative – Skilling in the Wedding Industry. This skilling session focused on teaching income generation skills to the attendees.
This session was spearheaded by Ms. Shalini Beriwal, National Initiative Head — W.I.N.G.S (Women Innovating NextGen Weddings), with support from the team members, including Ritu Chagti, Alka Talwar, Dr. Seema Goyal, Alka Bahal, Shivani Chawla, Aanchal, Anushree Kedia, and Shubha Bhandari. The virtual session guided attendees on how to make different products using temple fabrics for preparing wedding décor, gift packaging, and sanctity in puja spaces.
The event was more than a craft as it supported different women by teaching them skills to earn a livelihood by creating market-ready bandanwars, wall hangings, bags, and more products. These products are used in weddings and religious functions. It’s a building of festive décor lines that invite blessings, prosperity, and opportunity, turning tradition into a sustainable business.
Special guest Dr. Shobha Gupta also joined the virtual session to share her insights and encouragement with participants. Sacred Celebrations event explored how fabrics once adorning the divine can be transformed into wedding décor and sanctity in puja spaces.
