FLO Vadodara, under the leadership of Chairperson Shivani P. Patel, in collaboration with Swami Foundation. organized a cybersecurity awareness program for women and young girls. This session helped the participants to gain knowledge and practical skills to stay secure and be a part of the online world with confidence.
Speakers Mr. Nageshwar Nagpure and Mr. M R Raval led the session and made it easy to understand and engaging for the participants. The session enabled participants to grasp practical safety measures effectively.

- Phishing attempts: Fake or suspicious messages attempting to steal information.
- Viruses and malware: Harmful software that can compromise devices.
- Identity theft and online fraud: Unauthorized use of personal information.

Participants were provided with practical safety guidance, such as:
- Avoid sharing passwords with anyone.
- Think carefully before clicking on unknown or suspicious links.
- Use strong, unique passwords combining letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Keep mobile devices and applications updated.
- Recognize and prevent online fraud.
The session used real-life examples to demonstrate the impact of online threats on women and girls, emphasizing that awareness and vigilance are crucial for digital safety. Concluding with an interactive discussion, it left participants more confident and prepared to protect themselves online.
It reinforced that basic awareness and practical online safety measures are sufficient to safeguard personal information without requiring expert-level cybersecurity knowledge. Around 133 women benefited from this cybersecurity awareness session, as it helped them in learning tips and tricks to keep them secure from online threats.
